I’m working on our invites and wanted some feedback on the reception card design. I make my own cards so I’m crafty but can’t do type. I have a designer friend who will use my pencil sketches to do this properly spaced etc. I’m going for overall feel.
Here’s the invitation. The quatrefoils down the left will a) not look like crap and b) be embossed (possibly with color possibly not) (they won’t go straight–they upload facing the right way no matter what, them turn. Sorry!)
Here are the choices for reception cards:
3 & 4:
Which design do you like? Any thoughts?

@julies1949: Aw, thanks! I don’t know why my ipad kept flipping them back sideways!

I like both 1 and 3. In 2 I think the flourish in the background will be too busy, and I like the word “reception” being the focus.

I’d say definitely 1 or 2, and I lean toward 2, as long as the text is much bolder than the background design. So cool that you’re designing your own!

@gromble: Thanks–I’ll have to ask my friend who will do the computer design what he thinks about how the background shape will fade (or maybe I could emboss it and then it would just add texture.
