Hey Ladies! I’m just starting my dress journey, and all your posts and pictures have been were helpful!
First some background: The amount of money used on wedding dresses is a wee bit different where I’m from than in the US (or atleast it seems so). Designer gowns of thousands of dollars are rarely seen. A normal wedding budget is around $ 6 700-10 700, and in the capital area about $13 000. (We use euros)
According to the lady at my local bridal shop, with a budget of 700€ (~ $935) I can have almost anything I want (they have eg. Agnes-branded dresses). But I don’t want a real designer gown -allthough they do look nice (don’t wear “brands” otherwise either) and I am most definately not ready to pay more than $550 for a dress I’ll wear about 8 hours. I’m a frugal person, I guess 🙂 So I’ve desided my dress shall come from China. And in that case, my budget is about $400.
I’m just looking for a nicely made dress (no beeds falling of, crooked seams etc) fit for my body. I don’t need a Sottero look-alike-replica but more like a something on lines of…
So here’s the question: which dress maker should I use?
There are soooo many good reviews on Jasmine’s Bridal, but to me their gowns are made really really well to look like originals, and thus too expensive. I have also considered DressilyMe. But there are so many replica shops out there!! Like, mandybridal, jenniferbridal, sharonbridal, idreamprom, bestdridalprice, lightinthebox, tidebuy, jenjenhouse, katebridalshop, weddingdresseswonderful, choosedress, corabridal, kimlybridal, dinodirect, Darling Husband gate, eBay.. the list goes on forever!!
How do choose the one that makes good quality dresses? Which stores have you used?
