Im honeymooning at the Polynesian and also a Disney Dream cruise (we got engaged on the Dream).  We both decided we would rather stay for less time and get to stay at a Deluxe Resort and use the deluxe dining plan as well than stay for longer at a cheaper resort. Neither of  us have ever stayed at one of the monorail loop hotels and Ive been “saving” the Polynesian for my honeymoon since I was 18 J I’m soooo excited!

We are going for our wedding and honeymoon to Disney World!

We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside because it feels more romantic and secluded. Carribean Beach is the biggest of the resorts and they have golf carts so you can get around. i want to be able to walk everywhere i need to go on site. And Coronado is considered the convention resort… so, not very romantic.

I am voting for Port Orleans Riverside… BUT! with one caveat. Unless you really like the rustic thing, don’t stay in the alligator bayou rooms. get a magnolia bend room, they are more elegant.

here is an unofficial fansite for the Port Orleans resorts… very informative and full of pictures! http://www.portorleans.org/

@Future Couture Have fun! We’ve never stayed at the Coronado, but it looks fun! We have stayed at the Port Orleans riverside, and the boat to downtown Disney was nice at night. Also stayed at the Carribean and wasn’t so impressed it just seemed far to get anywhere. 🙂

Coronado Springs (I’ve been wanting to go there) or Port Orleans FRENCH QUARTER.  I think the French Quarter would be beautiful and romantic for a honeymoon.  We stayed there in May (when we got engaged in front of Cinderella’s Castle)

My Fiance and I went this past May. We live in CA, it was my 5th time and his first. I spent a year planning to make it the perfect trip. We stayed at Pop Century bc of our budget, but I’ve stayed at Coronado Springs in the past and I really liked it there. We got price quotes from both AAA and Disney themselves and Disney was offering a better deal at the time. We got 30% off our room, but paid full price for our Dining Plus package. This dining package offered more than enough food, we were struggling to use all our points!!! I’ve never eaten so much dessert in my life! We stayed for 5 nights and got a 6 day hopper, we had a great time and were able to see it all. Since we stayed at a value resort, we made plans to have meals at the deluxe resorts; BOMA @ Animal Lodge, Hoop Dee Doo Revue @ Wilderness Lodge, and Ohana @ Polynesian Resort (our fav by far)!

I go to Disney all the time.  Personally, I would recommend the Boardwalk!  It has more to do at night and easy ferrys to the parks and can walk to downtown disney.  It is also REALLY NICE!

We’re leaving in less than 2 months for our Disneymoon! We are staying at Old Key West thanks to my FI’s aunt! Shes a DVC memeber and is using her points for part of our wedding gift :). You should check out the Dis Boards if you haven’t already, there is some great information! Happy Planning!
