I don’t like rings that have channel set diamonds.

Berri:  As a general matter I love all jewlery 🙂 but I don’t especially care for caboshon (sp?) cut stones.

Berri:  I’m not a fan of 3 stone rings or halos. Or too much bling.

Berri:  This is probably really weird, but I really dislike pavé. I’m all not a fan of princess cut stones or huge chunky illusion settings.

Things I am not a fan of:

High-set halo/airline (where the diamond sits way above the halo)

Double halo

Cluster rings

Overly busy looking ring sets.. I know the multiple stacking bands are in, but shoving them all on a finger that just isn’t made for that many rings looks silly to me.

Huge gemstone rings as e-rings: they end up looking like a cocktail/right hand ring IMO.

3-stone rings

I’m not a fan of catherdral settings or marquise or pear shaped diamonds- just not my thing.

Ok I really don’t want to offend anyone here but: halo e-rings. Halo and cluster rings are one in the same, they are both meant to give the illusion of a larger center diamond.

And princess cut diamonds. IMO they are really played out already. They are not as attractive as other cuts and are just way too pointy and harsh.

Everything is beautiful, but for myself I wouldn’t like:

– mismatched metals

– double halos

– air lines in halos (where the halo is visibly off the center stone)

– 3 stone rings

– Marquise cuts

But, I do love to look at other people’s rings! And I don’t think any of those things are not pretty per say, I just don’t want them for myself. 🙂

I have a hate relationship with plain band and single diamond rings. Theyre just so boring and bland to me. No matter how big the diamond is it just looks boring. But hey just me

I don’t like halos.  However, I have stumbled across a couple I like… it’s just rare that I like them.

I’ve never been a huge fan of princess cut, either.

For an engagement ring I’m not a fan of yellow gold, though I do have several YG ‘right hand’ rings.

I don’t like very chunky or ‘masculine’ looking settings (eg very wide bands, esp if they’re diamond-set)

Not  a massive fan of three stones; there are some I like though. Also don’t like solitaires as I find them a little boring.
