I have been given the “go ahead” to start looking at rings. My SO and I recently went to try on different styles and I chose two that I like quite a lot. I wanna know what you guys think!
Solitaire:

Side stones:

(PS. Both are from Blue Nile, so I never actually tried these exact styles.)

They are both beautiful, but I am a sucker for a solitaire.

I like #2 because I am not a fan of plain band, the second one you will make a much prettier set with a matching band

@MrsBlueSeptember: I know! It is such a classic look. Thanks!

@PoeticDoveInLA: I also thought about that, I’m sure the matching band would look awesome with it.

Personally, I don’t think you can go wrong with either! I love both.

It’s kind of hard to tell from this angle, but I think that solitaire setting is exactly like mine! I love my ring. I love that it’s dainty and simple, but still has elegance. The thin band really makes my 6.5 mm stone look bigger too, lol.

I’m a sucker for solitaires too, as I have one ๐ I like the contrast of the clean shiny metal with the diamond…makes the diamond stand out more!

I vote solitaire, but that’s also what I’m getting [he’s making payments!]. It seems to make the diamond really pop when you look at it. I had my heart set on a halo setting, but once I tried on the solitaire, I fell in love. It’s all a matter of personal preference. Oh yeah, I most likely will be getting a channel set wedding band, so I’ll have the little stones too ๐

I usually like side stones, but that first ring is really beautiful. It’s almost like the shine of the gold is more sparkley than the diamonds!
