I have a 1.9 cushion cut diamond that is right now in a plain, solitaire, 2mm comfort fit setting. I am trying to decide on a “forever” setting. I love halos, a lot, but I worry about them being trendy. Anyone have a similar style ring? Drop a pic! Especially size 8 finger bees 🙂
Here is my ring (diamond looks smaller because cushions don’t always face up as much and I have size 8 fingers):
Which setting would you pick? Or keep thinking? What band would you pair with your fav?

I have a cushion cut solitaire and I love it. So my vote is to keep it a solitaire.

I love the claw prongs and baguettes on ring 1. So gorgeous. I don’t love ring 2.

First I love your diamond and I absolutely in love with the first pic, I’m not a fan of the hallo thing, I have a three stone myself with a step cut trepazoids on the sides and it is classic and feminine and I have no doubt that the baguettes sides will give you a great finger coverage ….

Love cushion cuts and love halos (I have both), but the first setting looks perfect!

I agree that halos are trendy and I wouldn’t mind one for a rhr, but if you like them, get one. Things can be trendy, but still be something you love.

beethebride : I love the first setting I think halos can make the center stone look considerably smaller.

I would normally say halo, but that one isn’t my cup of tea, and your diamond looks beautiful and certainly a substantial size. I’d go with the solitaire with baguettes- I love the claw prongs.

I like your ring the way it is!! But if I had to pick between your choices, then I like choice one. Its gorgeous!

I voted for the first, though I think your ring is beautiful as it is. Ring 1 is stunning to me, but then again I’m biased 🙂 I think it’s a classic look. Here is my ring with the bands since you asked what band we would pair them with.

Having had a round and baguette ring which is close to your option 1, my suggestion would be to figure out a wedding band before makin a final choice. My only reason is that I had a heck of a time finding one that worked with that style.

First one is gorgeous 😍 I have a similar one but with a brilliant cut. I am however never a fan of halos I have to add…

If you were to change it, then ring 1. Halos are very trendy and blingy where baguettes are classic and elegant. Honestly it just really boils down to what type of vibe you’re trying to portray or which one you think most describes your personality.

Personally I think ring 1 looks more unique and interesting, not a fan of the halo on ring 2. But you should definitely go with what you prefer – as you say it is a forever ring 😊
