ntaher7 :  I absolutely love this! Very beautiful and unique! It looks great either way, I guess it would just depend on if you want more finger coverage. Also just a side note it seems like you’d be able to see the details on the side of the ring more with just the one band, but honestly both ways look so lovely!

Of the first two, I prefer the rubies. I think it is stunning and unique. If it were my wedding ring, I would personally wear at least a plain band with it so that it reads bridal. But, as you said, it will be on the wedding finger, so it’s up to you.

The second ruby set definitely reads wedding jewelry. It is very pretty and looks great with either one or both bands. I don’t like it as much as the other ruby ring, but it really is pretty.

Bottom line, I don’t think you can go wrong with rubies.

Personally I would prefer a mix of both haha. I like the emerald cut with the asymetrical marquise a lot, but I prefer a plain band as I think there is already “enough” going on.

ntaher7 :  The ruby and diamond ring is more unique, but both are unique actually. The emerald cut diamond ring looks more like what one might expect of an engagement ring. Would it be possible to sort-of combine the two get the emerald cut diamond ring, but have the pears and marquises on the side be rubies?

I also wonder if you would like either of these:

This is a real-life picture of the Chaumet Joséphine “Aigrette Impériale” ring with a Pink Sapphire. Obviously not a Ruby, but can give you an idea of what it could look like in real life.

Also this Ruby Tiara ring from Trumpet and Horn.

    Again, shown with a sapphire.

I’m sure you could get a larger or a smaller ruby of whatever hue you prefer to fit your preferences with either of these rings.

ntaher7 :  I love that one too! All I know is it’s definitely out of my price range. I thought of it when I saw the rings you were considering on the first page, and since you were looking at Harry Winston’s Bridal Couture Collection I figured it might be in your price range. It seems like the ruby would have to be customized anyway, since it says it is from 2.40 carats onwards. You should contact them and inquire. There is a “call an advisor” tab under the ring or a contact form on the website.

And if you really love it, but for some reason the ring isn’t in your price range, there is always the option of having a custom jeweler create a similar bespoke piece for you. 😉

I’m not a huge chevron fan, but the stone is beautiful! Seriously you have hands that would make any ring look fabulous!
