I personally like the cluster. It’s more uniquie, and I just think it’s pretty. I do like halos in general, but in comparison, the cluster is what really sticks out to me. I also do like solitaires and while it is a cluster, you get more of the look of a center stone I feel. However ALL of that is my own personal taste and why I chose the one I did. Your girlfriend may be different. How long has she been considering these rings? In the past, has she tended more towards halos or other looks? I know I go back and forth a lot on what I like, and being that it’s such a huge decision, it’s hard! Depending on how long she’s been looking, I may give her some more time. It’s a big decision and a lifetime item. If she truly loves both, I don’t think you’ll go wrong with either 🙂

I also changed my mind a lot about “the one”.

There is sooo much to love. I wanted a sapphire or a moissanite and i loved so many shapes and metals and what not. But my fiance decided on an emerald and it’s everything i could wish for.

What makes my ring “the one” for me is that my fiance chose it for me. It’s the feeling i get when i look at it. When he proposed to me it was the best feeling ever and i always get reminded of that feeling when i look at my ring. So i’d say, choose what speaks to you. She will love it because of the meaning behind it.

I didn’t vote, because I would rather help you choose by giving you some things to think about.

My reasoning obviously will not apply to everyone, and would not apply to all situations. However, after seeing these three specific choices, here are my thoughts:

Larger is generally better than smaller (since large in this case is not overwhelmingly large), so I would eliminate the small one from the discussion.

The center diamond in all of these rings is not significantly different enough in size to eliminate the illusion cluster ring, even though many of the bees (myself included) would normally choose a larger center diamond over a cluster.

Both the large halo and the cluster ring are beautiful and, due to the configuration of the large halo, both involve some illusion.

The design of the cluster ring offers significantly more finger coverage (something else we bees like) and is less common than a more traditional round shape.

Now, as for helping you and/or your SO to decide, here is the advice that I give to bees when they can’t choose between two wedding dresses: This means that you clearly love something about each of them, but choose the one that you would most regret NOT choosing.

I hope some of this helps.

I voted for the first option! Hmm I just don’t like the cluster setting as much.. halo I prefer larger just because it’ll sparkle more!! (May be my imagination lol)

Good luck on your proposal!! I totally understand how your gf is rn tho haha 😀

I like the cluster because of the shape. It’s a bit different.

I would suggest one of the halos because a band can fit snugly. I like the cluster however, you need a curved band which makes it trickier.

I voted cluster but that’s because I have one and the effect it has is amazing! I think both rings are lovely and I’m sure either way she’ll be over the moon!

tuntun18 :  Please take this as kind advice rather than a criticism but my first thought is how overpriced those rings are. You would have so much more choice if you looked to buy online or have a ring amde so through Etsy. The cluster ring that is priced at nearly $3000 Australian dollars nearly gave me a heart attack, I would have thought it would only be half that price.
