I like ring #1 but the stone is an I/I1 and I wouldn’t want that for an engagement ring. If it is possible to get an upgraded stone, it’s a beauty! I have a split/twisted shank halo made by Daussi.

I voted for 2, honestly my reasoning is it’s the most simple of the three, which isn’t very simple at all.  I think you’ll find that the rings you love are pretty impractical in reality unless you don’t do much with your hands.  Very high set, so easy to bang into stuff, lots of stone going on – easy to snag, crevices to clean constantly, etc.  Might even be too heavy to stay upright on your finger, though I think that depends on sizing.

I agree with the consensus – go try some on and see if what you like in a picture is what you like in reality.  Also, are you considering a reasonable cost for your boyfriend?  Obviously that means reasonable to your lifestyle, not mine or anyone else’s, but don’t give the poor guy sticker shock the first time you show him a ring!

Well, pretty as they all are, I think they are  they all look too high and complicated to go under surgical gloves. So if wearing it  at  work  matters a lot, I’d  find  something that sits  lower /flatter on your finger. If not , then the Vera Wang I think, though they are all are  too un-simple for  my taste so I’m no help really in that department!

I really like  the opal though  ! And I do echo pps, try lots on on your own.

    I voted number 1

Its beautiful, number 2 is a round (not my fave) and number 3 is a bit too busy but very similar to number 1

I would stick with what your gut is telling you, go try them on and make sure they suit you but omg…that is an absolute beauty, good luck

Agree with pp that you should go try some on. It’s a game changer. Lol. I had a Pinterest board full of vintage looking rings that I loved, but I found that I hated how the style looked on my hand. And I ended up favoring a very classic solitaire look. Go in and try on, it’s fun! I’d go without your boyfriend at first. I found they tend to push for a sale more when he’s there. If you’re alone or with a friend, it’s more relaxed.

Like pp, I also wonder how those rings will fit with your job. Can you solicit advice from any coworkers on that front?

tarheelgirlx3 :  yes ma’am. it’s the exact same ring; radiant cut. 🙂 The center is .5 ct. In person it’s the most beautiful ring I’ve ever seen. You can’t tell it’s an i1, it looks flawless. This waiting game SUCKS. Lololol there’s also a Grand celebration ring that’s kinda similar that has a .5 emerald cut center that looks much bigger on & the setting is slightly lower. I tried that on but ultimately went with my heart.

The grand is item number 20042207 on the site.

Would you be open to showing all of them so he still feels like he gets to pick your ring? I think between the three he could get a very good idea of the style you want if he’s the type that wants to pick the ring and have it be a surprise.

tarheelgirlx3 :  Yes I definitely think that shape is worth trying on!  Even that very one you have on would be beautiful as an engagement ring.

The oval shape does look very pretty on your hand, so try an oval diamond ring, too!

what I found very helpful was to buy some cheap costume jewelry rings that were similar in style to the rings I liked the most. (Similar in terms of stone size/shape, was the band pave, was there a cathedral setting, etc).  And then I wore the costume jewelry rings around the house and while running errands, etc to get an idea if it was a style that really worked for me or not.  It really helped me rule out some of my possible choices.  You might want to try doing this.
