I am ALL ABOUT rose gold! I love love the milgrain on that ring, however bezel settings are my least favorite.. So I vote ring #1

I was going to vote for the second one until I read your responses. If being able to change it up is important to you, I would go with the solitaire for sure! And get some different stacking rings to be able to mix it up.

Another consideration is size as it relates to finances.  For someone who is not well off, the smaller ring is more believable as a real diamond, and the bigger you go the more obvious it is going to be that it’s a fake.  You are also going to have an easier time affording to upgrade the smaller stone to diamond in the future if you are into that.

xstaticsummers:  I really hope my post didn’t come across negatively.  I only brought it up because you mentioned that a diamond was important to your Fiance and that unfortunately you don’t have much of a budget at the moment.

Definitely go with the one that speaks to you, which sounds like the bezel/halo!  Congratulations!

xstaticsummers:  As someone who’s purchased from the seller of the halo ring you’ve listed…I would say to go with the solitaire. I loved my rings from the 2nd seller, but I would not recommend them. They don’t last. Diamonds fell out of my wedding ring before I’d even had my ring for 1 year. I am super gentle with my rings. I would not trust the settings from that seller. The solitaire is a classic and safe choice.

xstaticsummers:  TOUGHY….the rose gold ring is REALLY nice but the solitare….it is timeless AND you can add a pave wedding band to add the sparkle later, if your gal is worried there won’t be enough pizzaz!

The rose gold ring worries me as to what would match it later…BUT it’s so unique and pretty.

Maybe try to find a matching wedding band for both and see what you like.

xstaticsummers:  Because you like to mix things up, my choice is definitely the solitaire! The halo is very particular to it’s own style and IMO not a “flexible” enough option.

I love the look of number 2, but I love that a solitaire can be worn in so many ways. I feel like I would need a simpler style wedding band with such an entricate engagement ring like #2.

xstaticsummers:  Yes, pave. The engagement ring had a halo and pave band. The wedding band was a matching pave band. I literally did everything possible to keep my rings safe and in good condition. Still lost stones. I have no idea what happened to them. Nobody wants to be replacing little diamonds all the time. It’s a shame. My rings really were beautiful.
