I’m getting sick of myself asking about variations of this ring, I do apologise. I’m hoping this will be the last time I need to.
Which do you prefer? The ring as pictured with a cushion cut moissanite, or the same setting but with the asscher cut moissanite?
Thank you so much! xx

I find the Asscher cuts to be quite fascinating. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one in person but from pictures I find them so much prettier than cushion cuts personally.

I normally prefer cushion, but wth this particular setting i think the asscher would look better.

I love asschers, but would prefer a cushion in a bezel setting.

Cushion always looks kinda stout and smooshed to me, and the more I see them the step cuts in Asscher look so dazzling. And I’ve never seen anyone in person who has one, despite popularity.

I’m not sure what it is but there’s something about the asscher that I think would go so nicely with the bezel!!

I disagree I think cushions lend themselves to bezels but as hers should have prongs

I have a bezel ring with a round cut and I LOVE it! I also am a huge fan of step cuts, and seriously considered getting an emerald cut.
However…. bezel settings cover the facets along the edge of the stone, so they tend to work better with more sparkley cuts (like rounds and ovals and cushions). If you prioritize sparkle, then you are likely to avoid bezels all together and go with prongs.
I’ve never seen a step cut in a bezel so I can’t say for sure how much the sparkle is impacted. Personally, I’m not too fussed with sparkle, so I LOVE the idea of the step cut in the bezel! But I’m not sure how popular my taste is for others.

I have an asscher and love it! At some angles, the overall shape looks similar to a cushion, but it has the interesting step cut design. It’s kind of like the best of both worlds! That being said, one of the cool parts of an asscher is the octagonal shape, and you might not see that quite as much with a bezel. At the end of the day though, I will always pick an asscher 🙂

asscher. I think cushions have a very “dated” look–unlike asschers –I consider them timeless. Irealize MMV on this.
