good evening bees!
as some of you may know, I am on an adventure to finding a ruffle ballgown for my wedding… But I’ve come to an issue: I don’t know which ruffles I like best! I have tried different ruffles and found that I prefer the bigger ruffles. i keep staring at the photos and going from one to the other. so bees help me out… Which dress do you like better? Any particular reason for your pick?
Justin Alexander 8845
Mori Lee 2805
Judd Waddell Carly

Justin Alexander looks very mature, elegant and beautiful. Such a classy piece with great sparkle!!

I’m between the justin and Judd. Overall, I like the justin better, although I’ve always had a thing for ruffles like those on the Judd

I agree with the pp the Justin and Judd are stunning! The Justin has a slight advantage because I like the sparkle of it but if your looking for a more simple dress the Judd is perfect.

bell616: I think that it’s impossible to say which will look best on YOU based on what the dress looks like on these models. Can you try them each on and take a picture? They are all beautiful in their own way!

I like the Mori Lee the best. The ruffles seem more finished than the Justin and I’m not a huge fan of the edging of the ruffles on the Judd.

Those are beautiful! I think if you were going for something a little more modest, and if your going to be dancing all night definetly do the second one! But if your looking for something more on the sexy side I would choose the first one, bc it is a little more low cut but it also depends on how much you feel comftroble showing. My friend got married last year and wore something similiar to the first dress, but the entire ceremony it kept slipping a bit and when she was dancing she had to hold her chest area bc things that werent supposed to come out were definetly coming out. lol

Boyfriend or Best Friend and I think that the Justin Alexander has the best ruffles and bodice! Neither of us are crazy about the straps on the Mori Lee and the last ruffles are nice but the bodice leaves much to be desired.

My favorite of the three is the Judd, no contest.

The MoriLee , hands down . The straps are perfect to balance the skirt, making it just that bit different to the other strapless/tiered /horsehair trim dresess
Course it’s hard to know without seeing you in any of them .

The polls are really close! I went to a bridal salon last week for an appointment and tried on many ruffles, no pictures unfortunately :/ I had emailed previously to see if they had the JA gown, they said they did and when I went they told me they didn’t! How disappointing. After an hour and a half, i’m very fortunate to say that despite my short height, my body shape allows me to carry different types of ruffles. as of right now, my favorite is the JA. Ive seen many ruffles but not any like that in particular. Thanks for all your input!

By The Way, the poll question and the post question are two very different things and may be skewing results. I prefer the JW as a dress but really don’t have a clear favorite on the ruffles. It depends on your figure of course, but even on the models, beaded and lace tops with ruffled bottoms tend to cut the figures in half and break up the dress too much for my taste. The necklines are also fairly plunging on the top two, especially the JA.
Also, it can sometimes be hard to distinguish from photos, but with ruffles, I especially find they need to be of top quality fabric and construction to look their best. That’s something it may be easier to judge in person.

weddingmaven: valid point. I didn’t even realize my wording was off! I appreciate your input! Definitely something to think about. Thank you!

The JA looks amazing! Hopefully you get to try on all the dresses to see which one you like best.

bell616: I like all three but votes for the first one. I prefer the strapless sparkley top!
