Yummy, I love all of the salads!  And I think they’d couple well with the dishes.  However, I voted for house salad because a lot of people prefer a simple salad.  So while they don’t seem that ‘exotic’ to someone that loves funky salads (like me!), I don’t know that they’d all appeal to the masses.

I went with the spinach citrus salad due to the time of year. I think with the hot August weather this salad would be very refreshing.

We are doing a spinach salad with apples and candied walnuts in a viagarette(sp) dressing

I picked the spinach one because it seems summery, unique and delicious!  It sounds like it would pair well with the other foods you are offering as well.

Tomato and feta is “fancier” than a regular salad but is still un-“exotic” enough that most people will like it.  Personally, nothing depresses me more than a salad of iceburg lettuce with one or 2 other things in it but I also love veggies!

I would really recommend not using a caesar salad just so your vegetarian guests (if any) can eat it. I think the tomato or spinach sound best, but they all sound pretty delicious.

Oh, those all sound so good.  I love salad, but hate salad dressing with a passion, due to an aversion to vinegar. So I’d go with any of them – but dressing on the side.  That would also help any guests who are watching calories!

And I agree with lilyfaith.  Vegetarians would appreciate being able to have the salad, since the entrees might not work for them.  We’re actually having an all vegetarian family-style dinner, except for the chicken entree. (We also have a pasta entree.)

My vote is for the spinach salad.

The exotic greens can sometimes have this really bitter ‘weed’ looking green (sorry, can’t remember the name) and I always pick it out and steer clear.  What type of exotic greens are we talking about?  If they didn’t have that ‘weed’, I’d be all for that salad – sounds yummy!

The tomato/feta may be too bold for palates that are adverse to tomatoes or don’t like feta

The house salad would be a safe choice – but I feel like you should do something more ‘fancy’.

Napa Thai – sounds yummy, but in the same boat as the tomato/feta, I’d think

Caesar – a favorite for most – but depends on the dressing.  I don’t particularly like caesar salads as I find them typically over-dressed.

Just one opinion – but hope that helps!

I chose mixed exotic greens with seasonal berries dressed with a red wine vinaigrette because that’s similar to what I had at a friend’s wedding, and was surprisingly yummy even though I’m not into fancy salads. I love me a caesar salad though!

I think they all sound great! I voted for the first one but I would say you are safest going with either the house salad or the caesar salad.
