I designed two possible save-the-dates. I like the second one better because it include a photo. My Fiance likes #1 better because “I thought we were doing some humor in this” and the second one isn’t funny. Combining the timeline with the photo probably wouldn’t work because I don’t want it to look too squeezed.
(These are not proofread, so I know there are mistakes!)

2nd one! User interface design dictates that the 2nd one will be better received by the user. The picture helps convey the message. The first one has too much wording and is visually distracting and difficult for the user to consume. Sorry, I’m an engineer. 🙂

I like the number idea too. However, I wouldn’t lose the idea of the first because that’s fun too. Why not use those as table numbering schemes?

I vote the 2nd – – – I enjoyed the numbers leading into the date vs. the different dates leading to the date.
The first one is very clever, I feel there are too many dates. I know the date is in a different color, I think the date should be the only one on the STD.
