I prefer the top set.  However, I would suggest making the gold band a different style so that it contrasts with the other two rings in more than just color.

I think both sets are beautiful rings, but the set with the 3stone reminds me of rings that were popular in the 70s/80s and it’s just not my style. Solitaires have a more timeless look in my opinion. Do you get to pick and choose or wear both sets?

Yipeebee:  I like the engagement ring from the second one with the two bands from the first one.

The band on the second one, with the diamond inlay, looks a bit masculine to me. I’m not sure why.

I love the 3 sone and gold band. The thicker band with diaminds kinda takes away from it’s delicate look. The solitaire is beautiful too but I am not sure about both bands with it … guess I also think a third band should be different to add more variety. But work with what you have and -hey- holidays are coming 😉

Yipeebee:  have you thought about wearing the solitaire with your original wedding band?

are the bottom rings the man’s band?? They look really big. I’m not sure either go. If I had to say, definitely the first set, but that third bottom band looks odd.

Yipeebee:  I like all the rings you’ve shown here. They are all very pretty. And I love that the thicker band with diamonds in the second picture is your original wedding band. My original wedding band is thick and has yellow gold, although no stones. So I think I have a soft spot for thicker bands.  Sometimes, I wear my original band with my anniversary ring, which is set in platinum. The white and yellow were a bit of a shock to the system for me at first, but I quickly came to like the look of them together.

I was also thinking along the same lines as one of the PPs: that your solitaire would look really pretty with your original wedding band. Or what about switching the top ring in each stack: three stone with the two metal bands. And the solitaire at the top of the all yellow gold stack in the bottom picture?

Yipeebee:  that’s fair enough, it would be quite a stark mix.

I only asked because I think it would be really sweet to wear your original wedding band as it will have all the sentimental value, but I don’t think it goes with the more delicate 3 stone ring you have it paired with.
