I think they are both gorgeous, but the first one is definitely my favorite. I like the overall look of the setting, especially the detail on the side. Maybe this is a dumb question (sorry if it is!), but … If you wear your plain white gold wedding band with the first setting (with the diamonds along the side), won’t you have the same problem with the ERing’s side diamonds eating away at the gold of your band? I know you mentioned that the side diamonds on your current band (which I think is gorgeous, by the way!) have been eating away at the band of your solitaire. That would be my only concern with the first setting.

I am goibg to try it on with my band, but I think ny wband is low enough that they wont rub against it. If they do it will be the very bottom.so not just rubbing straight against platinum.

What about a bezel setting? It will really highlight the square shape of the stone as well as orotect it.

I am only going to be purchasing th setting through them, and when it comes in I will take it to my jeweler to have him set my stone. I definitrly eill not let their shop touch my jewelry again!!
