My boyfriend and I recently picked out a beautiful 1.2 carat princess cut diamond but I can’t seem to decide which ring setting to go with. I love solitaires and I want a setting that really showcases my diamond.
Initially, I had a ring made to resemble the Tiffany Lucida, but after trying it on, I realized that it doesn’t sit on my finger as high as I would like it to. Then I set my eyes on a beautiful Tiffany classic princess cut style and I loved it. I really liked the delicate look and felt that it allowed more light into the diamond.
I loved the thicker band on the lucida but felt the metal was too overpowering (my ring size is 4.5) and didn’t do justice to the stone. It also didn’t sit very high and so I felt that it took away from my diamond.
I’d love to hear some opinions, pros/cons and pictures from the side and top would be awesome. I really need help 🙁

@butterfly_wings00: I’m a fan of the classic Tiffany style. My ring was custom made, but it was partially inspired by the Tiffany one… so maybe I’m a little biased. =)
Edit: I also meant to say that I’m partial to the look of a delicate band, but really it’s preference and what feels comfortable on your hand. Since I’ll be adding a second ring to my already stubby fingers, I’m really happy I have a thinner band.

My ring was also custom made by a jeweller here but its similar to the second pictures in that its the full diamond and not just the op and the setting cuts into the band. Only problem i am now face with is because of the setting my wedding ring will not sit flush. So maybe another thing to think about when making the decision x
