I love a solitare especially in the Vatche U 113 setting. That being said I think you need to go to jewelry stores and try some on.  You might find you will love one more than the others.

I love halos! So sparkly! But I also love the classic solitaire! Tough choice!

I vote solitaire, so classic! 🙂

For your reference, this is what the BN 6 prong solitaire setting looks like in size 4.25 with a 1.3 stone.  It is a thin band in person and how you described: simple, classic and beautiful.  The setting also has a bit of a softened knife edged construction.  However, if you want more sparkle, go for the pave!

I never liked solitaires before, but I think because of the popularity with halos, classic and timeless stands out!

Yuemingd:  if you want more finger coverage then go with the halo, if not, I’d go with the pave, just because a little bit of extra sparkles on the shank can’t hurt :).

Have you tried on these styles in a store? I LOVE the look of a classic solitaire, but it just didn’t look good on me. I think the solitaire with the pave band gives you something that is classic and timeless with a bit of sparkle. I think they are all beautiful!
