My dress is the maggie sottero kendra in alabaster. i’m getting married in yosemite national park. the ceremony site will require a short walk on uneven ground, so a wedge is a must. not to mention i want to survive the night shoes intact 😉 i found 2 that i love but cant decide between them! i’m also thinking of strassing (covering with crystals) them but need more opinions. what do you ladies think? 🙂 i will get them in black as my wedding colors are black and red.
Michael Kors Vail
Michael Kors Vivian
an example of strassing

strass! sparkle is always good 😉
Edit: Sorry, see you need a shoe choice as well 😛 I like the one with the strap but I would try both and make sure a. your feet stay in the first one and b. the one with the strap doesn’t rub uncomfortably.

I think the strap is more a personal choice. They’re both pretty, I personally prefer without the strap but that’s because I find it hard to find a strap that fits well and doesn’t either rub or slip.
The strassing is gorgeous, but the black is great too and goes with your theme!
Wow, I’m tons of help aren’t I? lol

Sling-backs are more comfortable for all night… so I voted strassed Vivian! 🙂

I prefer the Vail, strassed, of course! If you do choose them and are worried about slippage, pick up some heel grippers! They’ve saved my life (well, not really, but they saved a ton of my shoes)! They’re little textured rubber girppies (not heel pads) with an adhesive that you stick in the heel and they only cost a few bucks! Here are some from CVS, but you can buy them at most shoe stores.

I love both pair but voted for the sling back with crystals (although patten leather is sooo beautiful on it’s own). I believe the sling back will be more comfortable.
I am also wearing the Kendra and getting married in the woods so I am looking for wedges as well. I think I may look up the Vivian’s to see how much they cost.
Both are beautiful!!

I vote for straps, they stay on better with uneven ground.
Where are you doing your actual ceremony?

@Treejewel19: we’re doing the ceremony in a meadow near Yosemite falls. there’s a spot where the trees open up an frame the waterfall in the background 🙂

Sounds lovely! Is it near Sentinel Bridge? We used that same area for our E-photos…so perfect.
Can’t wait for photos.

I like the Vail..especially if you are going to add the beading…if your not going to add any beading, I would go w/ Vivan!!!
