I’m in love with the cap sleeved dress (Dress 1). I plan on going straight from church to my shower so I like that it is longer and slightly more conservative. However, my Fiance completely prefers the chiffon dress and says its more ‘me’. He’s totally making me doubt my decision! My shower is going to be at my mothers house and it’s going to be pretty low key as far as I know. I think the cap sleeve dress fits that better than the chiffon. What do you guys think?

I like dress #1, especially if you plan on going to church in it.

Your opinion matters more than his 😛 I love the first one as well, and it has pockets!

@Weetzie: 2 it looks more fun

My Maid/Matron of Honor said number two as well… What is going on here?! I hate when I doubt my own taste! Now I am completely torn.

Personally, I like number 2, BUT we’re not the ones wearing the dress! You sound like you love number 1 and it is adorable and very church appropriate. =)

I think if you have a relatively nice shape, you should show it off, Neither dress is a good shape for most women’s bodies, they’re loose and boxy- what about a dress with a little waist definition?

@lealorali: I’m very tall and slim and I feel like I look like a beanpole in tighter dresses! I do like the first one though, where is it from?

I like the first dress more (esp. w/that adorable lace pattern and the pockets), but 2 would look great on you, as well.
I have a lot of really tall, slim friends (5’10″+), and they honestly look great in whatever (including dresses lik #2). These types of clothes were made for people with your figure. So, I’m sure you’d still look amazing if you went with your Fiance & MOH’s choice. But I also understand your “beanpole” concern. My older sister is a 5’10’ size 2-4 and often wears 4-6″ heels, but she’s still sensitive about not looking ~too skinny~ in certain styles (i.e. more form-fitting).
On the other hand, lealorali‘s dresses would also look incredible on you (and they are gorgeous dresses), but wear what you’re most comfortable being seen in. 🙂

They are both super cute- go with the one you like better!

If your tall and thin they would both work but I still perfer number 1!

@Weetzie: Both dresses are cute. #1 seems more cutesy, it’s more of a sweet sundress whereas #2 is a little more elegant. I’m sure with your figure/height you can pull off both. I really like the ones @lealorali: suggested – I feel like tall slender girls can really rock the 60s silhouette of the second dress.

I think number 1 is more flattering!
