princessmiaofgenovia :  When in doubt, go bigger. I have an asscher too and it really does face up smaller than other cuts of the same weight. Diamond shrinkage syndrome (DSS) is real. Also, I love the setting you picked out! Everything about is just lovely!

I’d say 8mm and I love the setting you designed!

Go 8mm if you must. I find it odd that they can’t offer a 7mm stone though? Which company are you using?

Have you looked at the ebay/china thread? I believe it was cross posted to PS, but someone had an octavia asscher cut and it was GORGEOUS. I’m sure they could make you a nice bezel setting for a great price too.

princessmiaofgenovia :  Well that’s the weirdest thing I’ve ever heard. I think I’d keep shopping to get the size you want. That’s a big deal!

I think if you have an 8.5 size finger the larger moissanite will look fabulous but it all depends on taste.

princessmiaofgenovia :  Hmmmm….can you order the stone from somewhere else and have them set it or are you looking for a one-stop-shop?

princessmiaofgenovia : That’s crazy! Never heard of such a thing. Lol. Fire & Brilliance and Port City both offer a 7mm if you’d like to get a stone sourced from them. A PP mentioned getting one from China, so that’s something to consider as well!

princessmiaofgenovia :That’s odd because they got back with me really fast! I’d try again. Maybe the inquiry got lost in cyberspace or went to their spam? Good luck!
