We’re doing a 40s/50s themed wedding and reception (closer to mid-late 40s at this point, but we’re including music from both eras) and are trying to come up with some ideas for a first dance song.
Right now, we’re looking at “Easy Living” by Billie Holiday and “Blue Moon” by Frank Sinatra, but we also like “Stand By Me” by Ben E. King and the Andy Caine Orchestra version of “Sexbomb” (it’s hilarious and would be SO fun to dance to–here’s a link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nORigkDSEjA). Probably inappropriate, but we love this version SO much. Even if we don’t use it for our first dance, we’ll definitely play it at some point during the night.
We’re open to any and all suggestions at this point–what do you think we should use?
