So, I have a recital on Monday and am having my hair done for it. I figure it’ll be a good chance for a trial run on a wedding hairstyle. I already know who’s going to do my hair, it’s the same woman who’s been doing it since I was 12 and I trust her completely. What I need help with is deciding what look I want to go for. So, here are some favorites that I’ve found. Please vote, letting me know which you prefer and let me know if you have any other suggestions. By the way, I will be wearing a veil, so I need a hairstyle that will fit it.
1. A Rose Updo:
I love how unique it is while still being classic.
2. Braided Bun
I really like all of the different textures involved in this.
3. Vintage Pincurls
I love the retro flair that this look has, plus how sleek it is.
4. Romantic Curls
This one’s just super pretty. It’s simple and elegant.

That braided updo is my main inspiration photo, so I voted for it 🙂

#1 and #3 are aweome if they fit the style of your wedding (but would be hard to get a stylist with the skill to do them correctly, especially #1). #4 would be my pick without knowing your style though.

I love them all but 2 and 4 are my favourites 🙂

The only one I actually like from the photos is #4.

#4 is one of my inspiration pics, so it gets my vote. The only thing to keep in mind with the softer curl updo is that it has to be done right and your hair has to be super smooth right off the bat. otherwise it will end up looking like a frizzy mess.

I love the braided up-do…if my hair is long enough by my wedding I’m hoping to do that. What kind of style is your wedding? That might help decide if you should do something more vintage or romantic.

If your stylist can pull it off, #1 is gorgeous and unique (I don’t think I’ve ever seen it). However, I’m not sure how well the style would stay, especially if you’re outdoors or dancing. #4 would be a close second though.

MOHlookingForIdeas: LibrarianBride: As far as style goes, it’s going to be semi-formal, fun and whimsical. Everything will be DIY papercraft with sheet music and comics. Here’s my dress/veil, if that helps:

I think with the look you’re going for, the rose would be really pretty and unique. The romantic one is nice, but it seems more formal than the fun, whimsical, feel you were going for.

HonoraryNerd: Wow, I love #4! So much so I’m gonna take it to show the stylist at my rehearsal in 10 days’ time! Thank you!!!

I would try out the rose one- it would be cool to see it done on you, and no harm if you don’t love it in the end for the wedding.
