I’m trying to decide what type of veil to get for my Savannah, GA wedding. My ceremony is outdoors and my reception is indoors at a beautiful old cotton warehouse turned restaurant.
Fingertip length w/ lace appliques
Plain fingertip length

I would go either the plain fingertip or the birdcage. Not sure the appliques will stand out since your dress has so much lace on it – I love your dress!

I think the lace appliques match perfectly with your dress. It’s like a “finishing touch” to your ensemble. Your dress is absolutely gorgeous btw, I love lace!

I would go with one of the fingertip veils. I like that the first one mirrors your dress. I like the birdcage look but don’t think that it fits your dress very well.

I think a birdcage would work well, just not the particular one that you posted. A longer veil can be a hazard on a windy day and get in your way during the ceremony.

Thanks ladies! I liked the “idea” of a birdcage veil before I ever tried on dresses and now I feel like it just doesn’t look right on me.
I’ll probably go with the lace one if I can make it work in the budget 🙂

I like both of the fingertip ones but the first one runs a SLIGHT risk of looking too matchy-matchy without ACTUALLY matching . . . so my vote is for the raw one!

I think you need something plain to go with the detailing of your dress (which is gorgeous btw!) and not to over power it.

I like the plain fingertip length veil.

What about a lacy birdcage?

UPDATE!! I decided on a plain ivory, 54″W fingertip veil with a raw edge. I found one for less than $50 on Etsy and it arrived this week!
I love it! It doesn’t compete with the detail on the dress, it’s sheer enough to see the straps but its the perfect finishing detail to the whole look.
Thanks everyone for your help!
