I purchased 2 veils, the first one 12-18 in shorter than the second. The first veil (the first picture below) is around the same length of the dress, maybe a couple of inches longer and has crystals around the edges. The second veil is about 12-18 inches longer and has just a solid edge but is made of a gorgeous shimmer material and has crystals throughout the veil (it is a similar length to the 2nd veil pictured below but that isn’t a picture of the exact veil). Is there a correct length a veil should be compared to the dress? Is the second veil too long? Thoughts?

I like the chapel length one more than the cathedral, but I wouldn’t think either were strange

jessica715 : I like the longer one. The shorter one looks too short compared with your dress.

There is no right or wrong. Plenty of brides wear longer veils to add length to dresses with short or no trains. I like the longer one on yours, simply because it separates the veil from your dress (so that it doesn’t look like just an overlay) but first one doesn’t look bad either.

Thanks everyone! I’m thinking I like the longer one too (but maybe that’s because I love the shimmer!) Can’t wait to wear it!

I vote longer, it’s just adds so much to your look.

I like the longer one 🙂 the shorter one looks like the veil is trying to mimic the dress too much if that makes sense? It looks romantic with the veil trailing behind.
