My order of preference is 3,1,2. I think that #2 looks too much like a conference room. I love the outside space of #3, and #1 looks nice too, though I don’t know how I feel about the dance floor being outside and separate from the rest of the reception.

The first is my favorite.  It’s got this very southern plantation style house thing going on.

I like #1 the best…if I’m understanding it correctly part of the reception is inside that space with a lot of doors opened to the courtyard where the dancing/band are…so it’s an inside/outside setup without cutting any tables or people off from one another?

If so, that is my favorite.  What would you do if it was raining?  Can everyone + band fit inside if there is bad weather?

My next choice would be #3.

I’m not a big fan of ballrooms so it’s my least favorite.

#1 and #3 are almost equal for me.  But if your fiancee didn’t get a good feeling when she was there, then I don’t see how you could get married there.  When you walk into the venue, you should get that feeling of “I’m going to get married here!”  My fiance and I chose the venue on the spot while we were still there.  I just can’t understand doing it any other way.

Coincidence: my brother just got married in New Orleans!!  They had the ceremony at First Presbyterian Church and the reception at the Wax Museum.  🙂

EDIT: #1 definitely has Southern charm!  So if that’s your theme, I think that venue is perfect!

I meant to vote number 1 but accidently hit number 2!  So that should say 0 votes instead of 1 for #2…

I voted for #1, because it looks the most elegant and intimate, and it has a certain glow – and it definitely has a New Orleans feel with the French doors, shutters, and lanterns. I’m not sure if you have any out-of-town guests but that would give them the best flavor of New Orleans of those 3 choices.

Even though #2 is very opulant, I don’t think it has the elegance of #1. Also, it does suck that the rooms at that hotel cost so much – everyone loves a wedding at a hotel where they can ride the elevator up afterwards. I don’t think room cost is a deal breaker since there are so many hotels within walking distance in Nola, but still, that detracts from that venue. Also, I don’t think the ballroom in #2 has the same romance that #1 and #3 have.

#3 is very pretty, but it looks like the ceremony space might be a little spacious for 50 guests. I prefer the reception area in #1 to the one in #3, but really, they’re both beautiful.

I don’t think you could go wrong choosing 1 or 3. 2 Looks too much like a run of the mill banquet room for my taste, although the staircase is very nice.
