I found these two vintage dresses online that I can actually afford (I’m on a tight budget), fit into(vintage dresses are usually tiny!), and are in a vintage style that I like….I just can’t decide which one!
Here are the two different dresses (the pictures are not of me in the dresses). Unfortunately, since theses are online I can’t try them on to get a better idea. I think I like the shorter tiers better on the first one but I worry that with full length sleeves it might look like “too much”. But I do like the fact that the long lace sleeves do remind me of my Mom’s wedding dress which had long lace sleeves with a very similar neckline. But, I also like the neckline and cute short sleeves on the second dress. In an effort to save money, I really would only want to alter it to fit me correctly, so no altering the sleeves, neckline, etc. I really just can’t decide, I like them both! Either would work great for the season, venue and overall feeling/theme. Also, if it makes any difference, I’m petite, about 5’2″ & 3/4″ and usually wear around a size 4 or 6 and sometimes a size 8 on the bottom.
Any input would be helpful! I’ve also included a poll! Thanks!

I picked two, but I love them both. I am so jealous you were able to find some dresses that fit all of your criteria. I’d have loved to wear a vintage dress!

Have you ever seen this website?
I like both dresses equally. Long sleeves if it’s evening and short if it’s daytime!

They’re both very pretty. I like the bottom of dress 2 better and the long sleeves on dress 1. I don’t like the ruffle at the waist on dress 1.

I like dress #2 better only because on dress #1 I don’t like that top ruffle/tulle at the waist. If that top bit of tulle could be removed, then I’d say you can’t go wrong with either.

Dress #2 gets my vote it’s beautiful

I prefer everything about the first one except that first layer of tulle that’s sticking out all weird. If you could get a seamstress to fix up that waistline and put in a new slightly longer layer of tulle or remove it all together and straighten the dipped waistline then it would be perfect.
I don’t like the neckline, the sleeves, or the longer layers on the second one.

They both are so cute! However, since you are asking..after reading about your height adn size I think the second one would be a great choice for you, im just afraid that the first one might be too much for you! You do have a hard decision…i am sure you will look beautiful in either one. goodluck!

Thanks for all the input ladies!
I completely agree with everyone in that the first layer of tulle on the first dress sticks out wierdly. It might could just be sewn down in a few spots all around to keep it from sticking out, not sure though.
I’ve got lots of thinking to do!
