Are you planning on having an outdoor or indoor wedding? And why if you don’t mind me asking! Share your venue Pics!
I’m going outdoor… I jsut never imagined myself getting married inside a church or having an indoor reception. Here are a few pics of my venue (excuse the people)!
We are saying our vows in front of the waterfall..

The dance floor…

We are having a tented recption similar to the following…on the raised concrete area that will be overlooking the two lakes and waterfall!

Here are a fewshots of the night life:

And they don’t have pictures yet, but there will also be a fire pit for my guests to hang out at in the evening!
So here is my outdoor venue, our bIG day is ~May 24th 2014~ (start time undecided)

I’m going indoors. Going outdoors, even in a nice weather season, was too much stress for me with needing a backup plan for inclimate weather. I found it hard to find a place where I’d be equally happy with the indoor option if we needed to use it.

Mostly indoors: ceremony in a church (you cant legally get married outdoors in the uk anyway) and then reception in the barn in the garden. Why? Because even though may is british heatwave season last may it dropped 27 degrees Celsius in two days following a heatwave and snowed (as well as hailing and raining spontaneously!)

@Darcy212: Wow that is some crazy weather. I can definitely understand why you’re doing the indoor ceremony/reception space! Plus you always want to make your marriage Legal!

@NAvery: Veyr true, you do have to factor in wind and all the pther elements. That’s one area I’m having trouble with…the seating cards/table numbers!

@caits615: Is the ceremony/reception and cocktail hour all going to be held at the same location?

@BreezyBride24: Yes, all at the same location. Ceremony is in a garden area under a big tree. There is a plan b that involves doing ceremony and reception in the same spot and flipping it during the cocktail hour that would be under a tent and I’m okay with it. But again, it won’t rain so I don’t need to worry about that.

@BreezyBride24: im hoping for an outdoor ceremony. Which I never imagined!! Ive always been concerned about the stress of needing a back up plan in case of rain. But since we are eloping (just us and the officiant) and we’re thinking of using a public park, If it rains all we have to do is run into a gazebo. Now I can’t imagine not marring outside. I only say hoping because we cant wait to be married and its winter. I’m hoping get a warm front. Lol.

The ceremony will be outdoors, hopefully, unless it rains. And the reception will be inside. The “Social hour” will be outdoors also, but kinda inside too. You can walk outside onto the deck where the food and drinks will be or you can get a plate and go inside 🙂

I’m doing all indoors. I am a mosquito magnet; I just can’t imagine being miserable from all of the bug bites.

@hiroshymatetrastar: Oh I know, I feell in love with that picture when I was looking at the venues website. Unfortunately it doesn’t come like that, so i have to recreate it with crystals (so that’s the plan). That couple actually created that look with 1000 oragami cranes (it was a cultural touch for good luck – I was told by the venue planner).
I’m not too craft but my Maid/Matron of Honor is so hopefully, we’ll be able to pull something similar off!
Edit: The light around the tree and the uplighting are standard and wont have to be done by us.
