What does the room look like? What will the lighting be? Centerpieces?

I like the ivory table cloth. I don’t really know why, light on bottom just seems to flow better in my head

hmmm… i think it depends on what ‘feel’ you’d like

    dramatic like this?

    or more understated like this?

(I really like this second one)

Since the room is entirely white I vote for the purple table cloths as I like that splash of color. I think white tablecloths in a white room might be too much white. With the high ceiling I dont think it will make the place feel small- dark colors can make a small place feel smaller but I dont think you will have that problem.

With your venue I would go with the purple tablcloth/ivory napkins.

High ceiling and white everywhere made me decide that.

First is there a cost differnce? I ask because my caterer offered ivory as the default and charged a premium for other colors of table cloth which factored into my decision to use ivory table with colored runners. If you need to pay more for the colored table cloths, I would choose Ivory as you don’t seem set on either option. Costs aside, how do you feel about ivory and white together? What color is your dress? With an all white room, I would pick purble table cloths and white napkins because I don’t personally like to mix ivory and white on a large scale like that. If your dress is ivory then I would keep the ivory and purple scheme and that would convince me to do ivory cloths and purple napkins to make it clear you are including ivory on purpose. I know this sounds like I am making it more complicated, feel free to ignore everything I said if you disagree.

My florist told me that the darker color will anchor the tables, and that light tablecloths won’t make as much of an impact.

I had all white flowers, and the room was all white as well (we used blue lighting too), I originally wanted light gold tablecloths and dark napkins—but the florist was right…so I vote purple tablecloths with ivory napkins and accents!
