So me and Fiance have began to look at wedding rings. Since i did not help pick out the engagement ring of course my head is spinning in 100 directions when trying to decide on a wedding ring. After a lot of research and thinking, i have come to 3 options. Fiance is fine with all three but it is just up to me to decide (huge problem!) Give me your two cents on what you would do please! (Also, all three options are about the exact same price so that is not a factor in the decision.)
I have a plain 1.5ct Ring Bearer solitaire in white gold setting. See pic below. LOVE the simplicity of a solitaire but also sometimes wish it was a little more unique.
Option one: get two skinny mismatched wedding bands and go for the stacked look. Something like the picture below.
Option two: get one larger wedding band.
Option three: I have found someone who will custum make me a “halo” wrap. So basically my ring would fit into it and snap on and it would turn my solitaire into a halo + plain wedding band. I would also get another plain or small diamond wedding band so i could wear the solitaire alone with a band. Have always loved the idea of a halo with a metal shank but couldnt give up my solitaire to make it permanent because i love the simplicity of a solitaire. The design would be based on the tacori bloom shown below.

I voted for the stack. I loveee kate beckinsale’s rings, plus I have a stack of my own. =)

@jenefer: i love the look of the eternity band with your ring (opt.2). this look will never go out of style.
you can also wear the eternity band by itself or with just a plain band like your ering band.

I am ALL for bigger and more bling! So i would go with Opt.#2. And as mypinkshoes said, you can EASILY wear the band alone and STILL have it look fab! Gorgous Ering tho…so anything you choose will just make it better! Congrats!

@WeirdAlLoser: @mypinkshoes: good idea!!! i will have a plain band as well actually because i work in health care and that is all i am allowed to wear.

@jenefer: I’m leaning towards 1 or 3, because it sounds intriguing. I also wanted to add that your nails are glorious in both shape and shade and I’m quite jealous 😀 I’m dying to find a perfect color like that!

I voted for the second one. The third is different, and if you want a halo it would be perfect.

I like option #2 the best because I just love the look of the solitaire with a blingy band.
I have a halo with a plain band (similar to what you’re thinking with the Tacori bloom) but I wear it with a thin diamond band. It’s OK, but I wish I had kept it a solitaire (like I originally had it!) and gone with an awesome bigger diamond band. I didn’t care for the thin band on it’s own.
I also have a plain band because I work in healthcare too.

I have a half eternity band and love it, and, as @mypinkshoes: states, this look will never go out of style. I also love the stacked look, and I’ve accomplished that with a thin anniversary band that I wear in different positions in my ring stack. You could get the eternity band as your wedding band and later add one or more anniversary bands to achieve the look that you like. I think this would give you the best of both worlds, and you can always wear the anniversary bands by themselves or stacked on your right hand. 🙂

I love option 2. You seem to have a long time until your wedding, so take it easy when deciding on this.

I like option 2, or the idea of getting 2 plain bands that are exactly alike. That way you could wear them one on each side, stacked, or one or 2 alone. Your diamond is so nice that I think plain bands would allow it to shine even more.

@Rubbs: Yes, good observation, however due to many reasons we will be purchasing them by the end of this year. Also, wanted to start looking a few months early so i didnt jump right into something and regret it.
Thanks everyone for the feedback!
