Mine are a set but I don’t think it’s important.  I was open to getting a wedding band that didn’t match.  What was important to me was that I could wear the wedding band alone without my e-ring if I wanted.  You could always wear one on each hand if you go with the set that doesn’t match perfectly.

I have bands that match and bands  that don’t.  I like the non-matched look, but like the extra bling if the second band.  Can you wear the matched band when you wear your ering, and keep the other one for stand alone??

Mine dont match as in come in a set but they kinda do go together. I think you should get the other band just for fun, why not just do it to make you happy.

My Fiance had his heart set on an enhancer or a curved/notched band for my diamond solitaire.  (*shrugs*  Beats me why he loves those so much!)  But I opted for a band that could be worn alone.  I like to be able to just wear the wedding band.  i.e. for when we travel and etc.

I think it’s entirely up to you.  I think you could probably get away with wearing the curved band alone since it’s only slightly curved.

I like sets that don’t match – but the second photo you posted looks SO lovely!

I think you could totally wear the second wedding band by itself if you wanted to – the curve is slight, and it follows the contours of your finger. It would actually look nice by itself IMO – a bit more interesting than a fully straight band.

But they both look good so at the end of the day it’s what you’re most comfortable with.

my Fiance bought my band when he bought my ring. I love my band because he chose it himself…but I dont like the way they look together. They dont match, and I personally like matching bands. So after we get married I’m going to buy another band that matches more.

But the one you have matches pretty well. If you like the second one then buy it, that way you can mis-match them whenever you feel like it.

Totally personal preference. I like both matched and unmatched looks, but I think getting the matching one, and still keeping the other one as a stand-in is a great idea!

I have three “bands” to go with my ring. Two of the bands are currently soldered to the ring so are worn together, obviously. I wear the third band on my left ring finger, and it becomes my “stand in” for running, the gym, sleeping, backwoods camping, traveling in sketchier places, light housework/yardwork (if I am not taking them off completely) and that kind of thing. If I need to take my “main” ring off, I just switch the other ring over to the right hand. I never really planned it to be this way as I intended to wear all the bands with the ring, but it has worked out fantastically as I like my “third spare” band a lot better than the other more plain stands in I had.

I think as long as you like the way they look together then it doesnt matter if it “matches”  Mine does not “match” it was not a set but I really like the way they look together and I think they complement eachother so i guess in a way they do match!

I really like the way yours look together, they complement eachother well!  I love your second picture  of your rings ๐Ÿ™‚

Mine are a set and match and that’s important to me.

I think if I were in your shoes I would want a new wedding band. the ring you’ve been wearing is pretty, but I think the first time someone should start wearing their weddin band is when their husband puts in on your finger. But that’s just In My Humble Opinion

@girlwiththeredhair:  You are asking the wrong girl.  I have 3 wedding set and a 4th on the way and about 5 bands that I  rotate through.  ๐Ÿ˜‰  Your upgrade for your first anniversary seems like a good plan though.
