I’m contemplating getting a marquise solitaire and was wondering if wedding bands sit flush against them, or if there will be an inevitable gap (which I hate). Could I see some pictures of your set please? Also include the mm width of the engagement ring and wedding band. Not sure if I want to go 1.5mm or 2.0mm. Thanks!

i have no pictures to offer, but a wedding band will sit flush if the setting is high enough.

It depends on the ring. I alternate between a plain band and sparkly bands, depending on my mood or what I will be doing that day.

do you mind showing a side profile pic please?
I also have a marquise solitaire and I have tried on a couple of wedding bands but they don’t sit flush. I maybe have to switch out the head when the time comes. I want to get either a shared prong diamond band or stack a couple of more eclectic bands. My hands are all tore up and dry at the moment but here is my solitaire:

Commenting to follow! My ring isn’t a solitaire but I definitely feel the pain. I have no idea how I’ll find a band to go with my ering!

This woulf look perfect if the ering was set high enough

my marquise is set east west, it works with a straight or slightly curved band.
(Sorry, pic is in a yellow room!)

Love it!!! LOVE the ring and the band is perfect. Portia de Rossi and Catherine Zeta Jones both have east to west marquise ring. That is what I orginally wanted but in a garnet but they are so hard to find. I ended up finding an elongated oval and went with that.

LunaMoon – I take horrible pictures but I hope this helps. I love your ring by the way. Is that yellow gold?

ah ok, your head looks sort of like mine but I feel like mine is a little wider at the base, but maybe not. Your rings look like they fit nicely against one another! So that gives me hope that there won’t be a huge gap. Your sets are very pretty I especially like the second one you posted. And thanks- yes it is yellow gold. Every now and then I think about switching the setting to a thin diamond pave band in white gold … but I just really love yellow gold solitaires 🙂
