I think the trees are cute, and I would plant mine, but most people wouldn’t. Chocolate gives me headaches, so I voted for macaroons. Yum! The honey is adorable, but as much as I love little sizes of everything, it just becomes clutter at home. Unless it’s useful as a travel-size shampoo or something, I don’t need two honey jars.

i love love love godiva so thats what I voted for! However, people who dont like chocolate might feel left out.

can you get the macarons in your wedding colors?

chocolate or macaroons. i cant decide but id be delighted with both
@Nona99: i second the horrible searing brown death + vengeful needles for the evergreen tree, comment. id never plant a plant (im sure id mean to, id just forget it). and i dont like honey…

crystalrae: Thanks for the UPDATE (Reply # 14)
Where you said…
We’re not really going for a theme, but we are having a private mountain ceremony in the morning with a reception in the evening at a downtown french restaurant. We are not doing much decor outside of centerpieces as the restaurant itself has so much character (brick walls, old wood in the ceiling and skylights over 100 years old). I would say the theme is elegant, maybe a bit french!
French… cries out for the Macarons if you have a good Bakery to supply them. And like rebwana:
they could be even more awesome if you can get them in your Wedding Colours.
Hope this helps,

After hearing your theme, I agree with @This Time Round: , though I do tend to prefer chocolate, the macaroons “go” with your theme quite a bit better.
When I think of French macaroons, I always think of these
They make a great display, this way, and you could always have little bags or boxes out for people to take them home in. Just an idea 🙂

I call gifts of live things “work.” Please don’t gift me with work. Thank you.

Thanks for all the input bees! There is a FABULOUS patisserie downtown that makes apparently the best macarons EVER, so I will pop in there and try some out! Your opinions have been wonderful and very helpful 🙂

Godiva truffles, please! I’d love the tree seedling, but we live in an apartment complex so there’d be nowhere for us to plant it nearby.

I’d like the honey, cause it would last for a while after the wedding and be a nice memento.

I like the honey idea but you can never go wrong with anything chocolate.
