Hello! I was just thinking of some ways to save on costs at my wedding, and I thought maybe we could customize wedding send off wands with our names and wedding date and use those as party favors, too, instead of buying separate party favors?
Option A (money saving option): customize wedding send off wands with our names and wedding date and use those as party favors, too, instead of buying separate party favors.
Option B: Customized wine glasses (and also buy wedding wands for the send off)
Option C: Customized champagne flutes (and also buy wedding wands for the send off)
Option D: Other (please explain)
Our color scheme is marsala, blush pink, and champagne gold — figured wine glasses would go with the marsala color, or the champagne cold color kind of goes with the champagne flutes
OPTION E: Mini champagne bottles with an escort card attached to it (so it kind of doubles as an escort card?)

Option D. Nothing that has your names and date on it because most people will not use it. Something edible is always a big hit. If you do want your names and date on the favour.. make it edible and then people wont throw it out when they get home.. because honestly who uses something that has someone elses names and dates on it?

I’d prefer something edible…I just don’t have any use for any items that are customized with another couple’s wedding details. I also have enough wine glasses/champagne flutes. It’s a nice thought, but I’d look at something like a couple of truffles or mini bottles of wine/champagne. You could put a customized label on those if you like!

I would leave behind a wine or champagne glass what your name on it. dont waste your money

Wands to wave at your wedding are not a favor.
Most people are not interested in customized anything.
If budget is a concern, skip favors.

italianbride0508 : ana2017 : Audrey2_sings : Thanks! It’s so nice to hear from a 3rd party perspective. From my perspective, I was just thinking I’d love those custom glasses (because they have my name on it with my wedding date) lol. This really puts it into perspective.
Audrey2_sings : I love the mini wine/champagne bottle and truffles idea!!!!

Option D- something edible or no favors would be fine as well. We aren’t doing them.

Favors are not necessary so I vote to save your money or put it elsewhere. If you must, something edible or drinkable is always appreciated. I’d strongly discourage anything personalized.

Please don’t use anything customized as a favor. All are useless items for everyone except the two of you and a complete waste of money. Edibles are ok…but I’ve never fully understood why these were needed at a reception full of food.

julies1949 : emsie : weddingmaven : heavenlyflower : Thanks, everyone! I’m now definitely leaning towards chocolate or mini champagne bottles. Now that I think of it, maybe mini champagne bottles since my July wedding in SoCal will be very hot and may melt the chocolates

Option D either something edible or nothing. I hate customized favors with the couples names and/or wedding date. I’d either not take them home or end up tossing them eventually. I’d just save the money and not do favors.

Option D- no favors, save money. Guests won’t be sad.

D: Donation to a charity.
Favors are a waste. People just throw them out or never use them.

starrynight898 : Please don’t do anything with your names and/or date on them unless it is a label for something, such as a wrap on some chocolates or a sticker on the bottom of a kiss, or a thank you tag on an edible favor. Edible is the way to go……if you’re going to do one. You’re already feeding them a meal and dessert – no need for an expensive favor (if any). We are doing chocolate kisses on the tables as part of the centerpiece and for the guests to eat whenever…no tags or stickers on them.
