If you can afford it go with the second dress, beautiful!

You can always resell it afterwards and make some more money back!

I see the potential in the first one but I chose the second one b/c of the detail and it seems more special. To make a more fair decision I’d have to see them both on YOU.

I am personally not a fan of the Casablanca 1900 – I was a Casablanca bride and I don’t like the thick sash at the waist. I like the first one much better.

Guess I’m in the minority but I LOVE the first dress. I think it’s gorgeous in its simplicity and you could really work it in the way you want.

However, it really depends on how they fit YOU.

Yes, if you can afford it def. the second one.  The first dress just looks like a white casual dress regardless of if it had a sash.

    What is your venue/location?

The 1900 was super popular in 2008 ish and I almost considered buying that gown as well!  Note: the hemming is usually done at the waist (flip up the band and bring up from there).

I do like both dresses actually but need to know what kind of wedding it is to help.  I had a gazillion photos of the 1900 saved once upon a time.

The first is pretty similar to the JCrew Sophia which I am selling in a size 6 (which would fit a size 8 better) for way under $550!  PM me if interested.

i love the simple dress. there’s something so elegant and very “kate middleton” about it. the second dress has pretty detailing, but i’m not generally a huge fan of empire waists

    Love the 2nd one.

The first one looks like something I have in my closet already, and isn’t as special looking to me.
