I voted for the first one because it balances out your e-ring perfectly while still being very pretty on its own. I feel like the size of stones in the second one are too large and would over shadow your beautiful engagement ring, taking all the focus off of it and onto the wedding band.

I voted for the first one too. The second one, I fear, might over shadow your e-ring when you wear them together.

The first one, with shared prongs, is beautiful and doesn’t overwhelm your engagement ring. The second likely would.

Why go to four prongs on the first example? That’s a lot of prongs!

I agree with the other posters that option two might overshadow your gorgeous engagement ring, but… I also go with – bigger is better!

I vote for #1 as it will not overpower your beautiful ering plus it would look good worn alone

nelliemade :  I dunno, I still feel like you could easily wear #1 on its own and it wouldn’t look weird at all! Chevron rings are totally a ‘thing’ and I’ve always liked how they looked. I really think #2 will over power your gorgeous e-ring, but ultimately it’s of course up to you! You know your own style better than any of us 😊

Hope it’s not too much longer of a wait for your rings! Your big day is getting so close! You must be so excited!

I really really love the chevron. I just love the way it sits on a solitaire. I personally like smaller chevrons and smaller side stones for wedding sets (more focus on your main stone). Plus if a stone falls out, smaller stones are cheaper generally. I hope you get your ring soon. Does your jeweler know the date?

nelliemade :  I understand wanting the security. Just make sure you see one with four prongs in person first–it will look quite different.

nelliemade :  chevron ring but with blue diamonds like in your setting, or a black hills gold all metal leaf band

Personally would do something much simpler than either so as not to distract from the ering, and because I’m not a big fan of a chevron either separated or together. But definitely option 1 between the two.
