plated!  especially with all those options.  I like when people bring me stuff.

Me (clumsy, in heels) + Buffet = disaster

I honestly think both the plated and the buffet sound delicious.

Have you ever seen the episode of King of Queens where Carrie’s dad changes his mind the day of the wedding and wished he RSVPed for steak instead of fish (or vice versa)? Yep, that’s me. Hence why I perfer the buffet style.

    (But honestly, either is fine!)

I love a buffet, personally, but all your options sound great!

I prefer buffet or stations, but since I also like assigned seating I voted buffet.

Plated.  I hate walking in heels and hate worrying that the food will run out.

Is a family style meal an option? (Basically, the best of both worlds lol)

I don’t understand where some of you (and in other threads) have been that your food gets cold at a buffet. I’ve only ever been to weddings with buffets and I’ve never had cold food. That’s really bad preparation on the part of the catering company.

I voted for the last option, because I’m seriously considering doing something like that for ours, but I’d also vote for the buffet. I’m not a fan of plated meals at weddings because I am way too picky. If I say that I want the x meal on my RSVP card, and then I get it and I don’t like it, or only like one thing, I’m screwed.

I prefer a buffet over plated, your guests get to take only what they want and as much of the things they want as they choose. Whereas for plated its just the one meal they get and if they don’t like half of the items on the plate then they go hungry.

Normally I would prefer buffet over plated as well, so that each person may pick and choose what they’d like, however if there are still 3 options for guests and it’s cheaper, I say do plated.  Especially when it comes to brunch, it seems that most people like the standard options so you probably won’t have as many picky eaters as at a dinner reception.

Also, I just realized that the plated option is less money. That sways my vote 🙂

Brunch is the ONLY time I’d prefer buffet over plated… I go to Sunday brunch all the time and it’s always buffet.  The range of choices is more, obviously, but if you’re having several different choices for the plated meals, that’s great too…

It’s a really tough call, but there something to be said about sitting nicely and being served at a wedding, so despite having NO issue with buffet, I’m voting plate.

Also, you seem to want plate anyway 😀
