I’m doing my make-up, I’m by no means an expert but I think I can do pretty amazing evening looks.

As for hair, I suck ! I know how to make a ponytail, that’s all !

I’m actually really good at doing hair, but I don’t have the patience for full bridal makeup. I’d love to be able to do it all myself, but I would need a lot more practice before that happens.

I’d do makeup totally. No doubt. I’ve always been in to it and do a good job too on myself. Hair though….. Meh. I’m a disaster with my hair.

I did my own makeup, and I think I looked great.  I did upgrade my makeup though (I usually buy drugstore brands, and made a stop at the Bobbi Brown counter).  By buying the more expensive stuff, I also got a lesson of how to make it look best.  I’ve had my makeup done professionally before, and didn’t really look like “me” afterwords, so I chose to do it myself on the big day.

Honestly, neither. I’m happy to pay to ensure I look my best in the pictures I am paying for. I don’t even have any interest in trying.

I did my own makeup, but even though I just wore my hair down and wavy I had it done professionally, because I’m not very good at hair. At least not for such an important event.

I AM doing my own makeup, and I’ve given up and delegated hair to a professional – I am terrible with hair hahaha

@ksus07:  I did my own hair & makeup and was very happy with how it turned out. It was kind of a necessity though, we got married in Mexico where I didn’t know anyone and my skin is crazy sensitive so no way was I going to a stranger- I could have broken out for the next 2 months if they used the wrong thing! I did lookup a ton of tutorials and spent a few months worth of date nights trying out different hair and makeup combos. By the time I was getting ready for the wedding I had practiced doing my hair three times before & the same with my makeup.

I picked makeup because I at least have some of that and have done it a few times before. If I did my own hair for the wedding it would either be down and flat or in a ponytail.

I’m in the minority, it appears. I’d rather do my own hair than my own makeup. I’m pretty much just going to blowdry my hair and wear it down like I do every day. If I hadn’t cut it, I would have done some fancy updo. I’m good at hair. On the other hand, I never wear makeup. Ever. But I don’t want to have blemishes on my face for my wedding pictures, so I’m going to try to do something simple and DIY (makeup counter? friend? this will probably be a question I’ll post at some point). But if I had the budget for it I’d pay someone else to do it.

@ksus07:  Haha me too, when I’m trying to do liquid eyeliner somehow turns into looking like I got a black eye.  I usually don’t wear make-up, so maybe I just need to practice more?  Or, more likely, I just suck at being girly lol.

Definitely makeup. I quite often do my hair myself and am good at backcombing it, but the back usually looks a bit random. For my wedding day I want it to look all pretty and symetrical at the back which is something I just can’t do myself.

I love doing makeup and think I’m pretty good. So I’m hoping to do my own on the big day. I’m definitely going to look up a few tutorials and tips, and probably upgrade my makeup to decent stuff. I’m also tempted to do a Mac makeup lesson as I’m sure they do wedding day ones.

@ksus07:  My sister/MOH is really good at makeup so she’s doing mine for the wedding. I consider that DIY kinda but I would never do either hair or makeup myself because I am not very good at either haha.
