You’d think she’d have stylists or assistants or someone, *anyone* talk her out of it. Puttering around the house, sure. Going to a royal reception? Not so much.

Wow, I know this is off-topic, but doesn’t Kate’s waist look unusually tiny?  She’s itty bitty.

@Jaynee: I think it’s the angle. I saw pictures from different angles and she didn’t look as tiny. I mean, tinier than usual, anyway. She is a bitty thing. I also read on a thread earlier that she had hip pads on? To make her waist look smaller? (Though why she’d want it to look smaller, I have no idea.)

Why does everyone feel the need to slag off on Camilla, I feel sorry for her Dianna would have only been 49 Camilla is 60. Charles and Camilla have been in love since they were in there 30s, its not her fault he married 19 year old Dianna whom he hardly new instead of her (I am aware she was married at thetime which may have made that tricky). Those who know her always say how lovely she is.

@simpleandchic: Honestly, I do agree with you. They have such a crazy love story. People should actually read about it.

But it is always easy to hate the other woman.

@simpleandchic:  Agreed.  Camilla is an older woman.  I think she looks good for her age and her clothing is appropriate for her body type.  She’s not rail thin and hasn’t had plastic surgery.  Lets face it ladies, this is what a normal grandmother looks like.

Furthermore just b4 I step off my soap box…., Dianna married Charles to become a princess not because she loved him, Camilla married Charles because she loved him, I think most of the Royal family probably has more time for Camilla than they ever did for Dianna, Dianna was a wonderful mother, women and princess but I dont think she was a wonderful wife.

i keep wondering why Prince Chuck threw over classy Diana for frumpy Camilla? She dresses like she’s his mother…..oh……well, that answers that. Never mind. Innocent

@ms_nickie: I don’t think she should have been wearing something like Pippa (a form-fitting gown), but just because she’s older doesn’t mean she couldn’t have found something a little less…nightgownish. My grandmother is 80 and wears nice, age and body-appropriate dresses and blouse/skirt combos, and never looks like she’s reading for a nice evening reading in bed.

A lot of things about Camilla are just wrong.. on so many levels! I’m not surprised!

@double0bride:LMAO!!  You hit the nail on the head!

As far as Camilla is concerned, since she was so much older than Diana, she should have known better.  As far as having a typical grandmother’s figure, my grandmothers only wore things like that around the house.  Not to weddings.

Kate was probably relieved that she doesn’t have to worry about her mother-in-law overshadowing her:) Now her sister, on the other hand…

My mom is 61 and she dresses far better than that, on a much smaller purse.  I actually think this is worse than the toliet seat hat because at least they were trying.  Here, she’s just not bothering to.  Camilla did not age as well as I suspect Diana would have, and she compounds it by dressing poorly when Diana dressed (in later years post fluffy 80s wedding dress) very well.

Well, Camilla *could* have waited for Charles…  And it doesn’t help she slept with him after his marriage to Diana, so their relationship didn’t give Diana much of a chance to build a strong one with Charles (note: I know Diana wasn’t lily white herself, I’m actually not an adoring Diana fan either).  While I appreciate he’s been in love with her most of his life, frankly, they all behaved pretty terribly so it’s hard for me to see it as a romantic love story.  I am glad Charles & Camilla are finally married to each other and not breaking up marriages.  Kate & William, on the other hand, I’m willing to buy as a romantic love story.  🙂

@simpleandchic: I agree with this completely. I really sort of like how prince charles went for the older woman 🙂
