@TattooedChick23:  Well, just because whiskey HAS to age 7 months before you can drink it, doesn’t mean you can’t wait to drink it until it’s much later….7 months is the minimum aging period for whiskey…at that point I would transfer to a nice bottle and just go ahead and wait.

We did a Scotch box as part of our ceremony! Everyone loved it. I got glasses here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/BreadandBadger?section_id=10193649 and we put those with a bottle of Scotch and letters to each other in a box.  Our officiant kept the language similar to a wine ceremony and just changed it up to talk about us making the ritual ‘more our own’.  I’d be happy to PM you the text if you want.
