@minniemluv:  I would walk over there and say really loudly, “I LIKE WHISPERING TOO!”

@Nona99:  +1 Elf! I love using that saying. People never know if I’m joking or not.

@minniemluv:  Ignore mean girls. They’re just doing it to get you interested in what they’re doing. Ignoring them takes all their power away.

@Nona99:  +1 – you should totally do this! Call them out on it. Seriously.

@minniemluv:  Sounds like it! I worked with a girl who gave me a really hard time, just made fun of me constantly. Well, apparently she was picking on someone else too, because that person went to HR and next thing I knew *I* was being hauled in to ask if I’d ever had any issues with her.

Well, to save her ass from anything more than a writeup, HR told her she had to apologize to me. She comes by my desk in front of everyone and asks if I would come chat with her in one of the vacant offices across from our section.

We walk in and she starts to close the door, but I said “no, we’ll be keeping that open while you say what you have to say.”

@minniemluv:  Do you have any idea what they’re talking about?

I used to work in an office without a door (one of the only in our building), and my co-worker and I liked to talk when we got in in the morning. Not about our other co-workers, but about our weekends, a show we were both watching, the crazy things going on in our Sims games, that sort of thing. We knew we had a tendency to get loud, so we’d try to lower our voices (plus my laugh is ridiculously loud and recognizable, so I really did make an effort not to piss off other co-workers).

Well, apparently someone thought we were talking shit on people and raised a big stink about it. Got some leads involved, and we both got in trouble for something we didn’t do. To top if off, they wouldn’t tell us who said or what was said, so we couldn’t even have a chance to keep our dignity by apologizing and explaining that that’s not what was going on. I’ll tell you what, I was LIVID for people spreading false rumors. If they thought I was talking about them, or someone, come ask me! But don’t assume because I’m whispering or keeping quiet that I’m talking crap on someone.

*Phew* As you can tell, I’m still bitter about it. 😛

Now, this is probably a totally different situation than what’s going on with you… I just wanted to add my two cents. 🙂

My best friend and I were JUST having a vent session about this like last week. You sounded so much like her that I had to look on your profile to figure out if she had made a WB account lol! It’s ridiculous and it’s RUDE!!
