@shel_lee_1: I don’t think it will offend anyone! I recently went to a wedding with white bridesmaid dresses and personally thought it really took away from the bride. I hate to say it, but some of her BMs honestly looked better than her, IMO! However, if your heart is set on it, don’t listen to me; any dress you choose is a matter of personal taste, so you have to go with your gut. Some will always like it and some always won’t. 🙂

I love white bm dresses! You could do chunky color jewelry with matching color shoes.

I agree with brideatbeach. You don’t want it to take away from you as the focus. What if you chose a patterned dress? That way you wouldn’t have to choose any specific colour.

I say, if you like it, go for it! I don’t think it would offend anyone.

@shel_lee_1: Your dress is gorgeous! I would just make sure their dresses are very simple so yours stands out. 🙂

This is my friend’s neice’s wedding. I think its perfectly clear who the bride is…I never thought I’d like it, but I think it looked great!

@ItWasntMe: Cute!

They would definitely stand out if you do the multi-colored sash thing you had in your OP, too.

@shel_lee_1: I think that if the bridesmaid dresses are short and have the cute sashes in your pic they’d work without taking attention away from you.  I think the biggest problem is when the bridemaids are in long white gowns.  There was an episode of My Fair Wedding a while back in which David Tutera put the two bridesmaids in super pale pink that was nearly white with ornate overlays that really overshadowed the bride.  However, a different length in white without a lot of trim and the bright bows I think could be really pretty 🙂

I’m definitely not opposed to the white dresses.  I’d maybe check with your bridesmaids, especially if you want rainbow sashes.  Having to pick a colour for each could turn into a bit of a drama fest if some are feeling like others get “better” colours.  Like, not sure I’d want to be the one who has to track down and pay for yellow shoes for example.
