Would this be way too out of the box if I did a bridal gown in this colour (not the same dress or style though):

With this bridesmaids dress (I have 4 girls)

If not what colour would you suggest? my colours are champagne, white, ivory, like pinks, rose golds with hints of gold.

I like it! When I considered a blush gown, that’s what I was planning to do.

YOU like it and that’s what matters, right? Go for it – blush pink is such a pretty color!

@dv3849: looove it. I am a fellow colored dress bride (sherbet), and considered having my BMs wearing white. I choose a softer petal pink (blush) in the end, though.

I am doing a blush bridal gown with ivory bridesmaids dresses as well. The bridal consultant at the store I am getting my dress from suggested it and I instantly liked the idea. Go for it!

TBH, I’m not a huge fan of the bridesmaids being in white/ivory/champagne unless the bride is in one of those colours too. It also limits the possibility of the BMs being able to wear their dresses again, if that is a factor for you.
Here are some examples of colour palettes using a range of pinks.

You’ll notice though, that with the last one, which has the overall muted/vintage look colour scheme – the pink is more of a peachy tone. I think you might need to have a pink that’s more this colour if you want all the other colours to be warm colours i.e. ivory, champagne, gold. The pink you’ve got in your pic is more of a cool pink.

Thank you all for your kind words and advice 🙂 I really appreciate it all!
Unfortunately I look AWFUL in the more warm tone pinks… it completely washes me out. I tried on a few blush and the lazaro sherbets, and it was tragic.
I think I like this pink that the dressmaker showed me… I’m not sure if its too in your face pow pink or not? Perhaps if I ask if they can tone it down, perhaps add a layer or two of white overtop?
As an FYI this is what I’m thinking of getting but in pink (I don’t have proper editing software to make the picture pink:( )… It’s a sort of monique lhuillier/elie saab mash up

And this is the colour I originally had in mind:

@dv3849: I think it’s lovely. I would put your attendants in ivory, though, rather than stark white (as stark white is less flattering on most skin tones)….or you could do a variety of tones from ivory, champange and light gold. That would be amazing!

I like it…although I think the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses would be better in a knee length style.
I also love the idea of having the bridesmaids in a much deeper pink for an ombre effect.
