So I fell in love with a black sash with my dress. My girls are wearin black too so it wasnt too far of a stretch.
I just dont know what to do about accessories. I need a jacket or something since I am getting married in February, Idealy I wanted a white faux fur bolero, which I ordered but it is actually ivory. I am scared now to order another white one lol So I have been thinking about black. It is only for outdoors, maybe a few pics thats it.
Also I thought I wanted black shoes…untill everyone said I need white.. I know its my day and all that but I just dont know. My daughter who is 1 is also wearing a white dress like me, and I bought her black shoes already and I kinda wanted to match. But at the same time I dont want to be that idiot bride who wore black shoes, I like white ones so its not like I hate them…
So then lol today I found the perfect rhinestone and black earings! They were so pretty.
I am just not sure…should I use the black sash ONLY, or should I make all my accessories black, or certain ones? Please help! Ive been thinking about this for weeks now

I think incorporating black into your look sounds like something you want to do, so do it!! Black and white looks very classy, and if it matches with your maids and flower girl (sounds like it does!) then it won’t seem out of place in the slightest.

I think it would look great. Black and white are so elegant together. Black shoes are totally fine, plus so many people wear colored shoes these days. stumbled upon this pic of black shoes and sash. I think it looks perfect!

I wore alot of black with my white dress: black sash, black fur and jacket, black hair flower and boots. I REALLY wanted black earrings too but never found ones I liked. I was a little hesitant about the black BUT all white was definitely not me so black it was.
Here are a few pics for you as I found it hard to find pics when I was deciding:
I obviously love the look of black so I say go for it! It can look so elegant and timeless.

I know how you must feel! I also wore a black sash and my mom kept making think I was wearing too much black and I didn’t know what accessories to wear. Ultimately I said screw what other people think and I picked black accessories except for my shoes, those were my something blue. For the ceremony I wore a more fancier black sash that had a bow and pearls on it. With that I wore matching pearl earrings. For the reception I wore a black statement necklace I bought on etsy with a plain black sash. So maybe you could do something like that? My Bridesmaids wore all black too and it looked great. Do whatever makes you feel comfortable and beautiful!

Thanks ladies, I think the problem is that my mom and Maid/Matron of Honor are really traditional. They cant believe I am wearing any black at all lol
I think I am going to just go for it.
