I’m a longtime lurker and I had to create an account to ask this question.
My friends are getting married in a few months and my husband is a groomsman. I was wondering if you think this dress is appropirate for me to wear as a guest at their wedding?
Thanks for the help!

yeah but it’s very very summery.
if it’s a evening or indoor wedding I’d suggest something else.

Whoopsie! I totally answered the poll before actually reading the question and the post…I will blame it on the afternoon doldrums. Anyway, it’s totally appropriate!

I think it’s a really pretty dress. I would wear it to a wedding.
I think the “wearing white” rule pertains to dresses that could be mistaken for the bride’s dress or solid white.

Thanks for the replies!
Yeah, I was thinking the dress might be a bit summery… The wedding is in July, but it’s indoors.

I love that dress!
And yes, it’s mostly the all white ones, or the all champaign coloured ones that are a no no. That honestly just looks like a pretty summer dress.

I think it’s totally fine since it’s length-appropriate and has fun color. Could a bride potentially wear it to a shower? Yes. Would she wear it (or similar) to a wedding? Probably not.
It’s pretty, summery, and truly non-bridal; I think you’re good to go!

Yes, it’s fine & it’s totally cute too. I honestly don’t get the not wearing white rule anyway to be honest… as long as you aren’t wearing a WEDDING dress it shouldn’t matter IMO. Also- who the heck voted no?

Thanks everyone for your input; I really appreciate it! I figured it should be okay because of the floral print, but I had to double check. I didn’t want to offend anyone. Haha. 🙂

I voted for you to wear it. Its not solid white so its fine
