I have a 2mm white gold engagement ring, and part of me really wants to get a 2mm yellow gold band to match my fiance’s ring — and also just to change things up a bit — but i know normally people get rings that match. Does anyone have this combo they could show me and tell me how they like it after wearing it for a while? Here’s a pic of my engagement ring:
and here’s a link to the band i’m thinking of getting. Really it’s this band either way, but either in yellow or white gold.

I think you should get the one you want. I have a white gold solitare engagement ring and I am planning on wearing my grandmothers gold wedding band (very similar to the one you looked at on amazon) and purchasing a white gold wedding band in the exact same style for myself (and wearing the three together) I know that people may think it is weird to mix the colors but I love that my grandma’s ring fits me and gosh darn it, it’s my hand!

it’s fine to mix it up, rose & white, white & yellow, whatever you want. there’s no right or wrong (except some extremem cases) when it comes to this because e-rings and wedding bands are so personal to each person

* I first read it as’normal people get things that match’ lol*
I voted for the yellow, I am all for mixing metals and I really do think that colored gold brings out the sparkle more than white gold does. Also when you have a mixed set you are sort of ‘home safe’ when wearing any color jewelry.

Have whatever you want! I have a white gold engagement ring but due to allergies I can’t have a white gold wedding band so I’m having yellow. I still intend to wear my engagement ring occasionally but will wear it on a different hand. Is this something you could consider?

I have a white gold engagement ring and a rose gold wedding band. I all for the mixed metals look 🙂
