My e-ring setting is platinum eternity. My Fiance is considering a classic yellow gold wedding band, so I was considering a yellow gold band for myself too. I would probably go with an eternity to somewhat match my e-ring setting. (My e-ring sits really low so there would be a slight gap between my e-ring and wedding band…) I tried googling to see what this combo would look like and I can’t seem to find anything. Did you (or do you plan on) mixing metals with your e-ring and wedding band? Please share pics! Thanks!!!

Ohh, I LOVE eternity bands!! Any photos? Mixing metals looks beautiful, but I’m not sure if they scratch at the moment. I may have the same problem.

I don’t have a good pic of my e-ring, but it pretty much looks like this, except my center stone is round.
Yeah, I think platinum is softer than gold so I don’t know if the gold wedding band would dent(?) the platinum e-ring setting at all…

I love the look of mixed metals. If you’re going to wear a gold band next to a plat. e-ring, I’d suggest looking at lower carat gold (it’s stronger and scratches less easily). I also personally love the look of 10 and 14k gold because of the lighter, buttery yellow colour compared to the dark yellow of higher carat gold. I say go for it! If it scratches over time you can always get the gold polished.
