@wabanzi:  I’d say white to watch the groom. You should add a poll!

@wabanzi:  White  because that is the color that should be worn with a tuxedo.

If you want color, you can use it in their ties and/or boutonnieres.

Ivory shirts only exist in the wedding rental realm to allay bride’s concerns that everything won’t exactly match, the dress will look dirty, etc. The groomsmen’s shirts will never be directly juxtaposed with anything else in your wedding that’s ivory. Go with white.

Tuxedo shirts are white, end of story.  This rule stands, even with an ivory jacket.  The entire purpose of men’s formalwear is that we look uniform, and allow the women to shine.  Both changing the shirt colour, and matching to a dress, defeat that purpose.

If you want to add colour it should be done in the boutonniere, OR a pocket square.  Aside from that, stock to the black and white pallette that defines the Tuxedo.

@wabanzi:  I voted white. The tux shop told us that we should have either all white or all ivory but not alternate as white is much brighter in pictures, and you don’t want that color difference in pix
