The picture in the link looks ivory. But I agree a pure white is hard for most people to pull off. Most places offer other options besides white or ivory though! My dress is “pearl white”. It doesn’t have the yellowish tone that ivory can sometimes posess but it isn’t a stark white either. My skin tone is pretty similar to yours, so maybe that would be an option for you?

I think with your skin tone. You will look really nice in ivory.

I’d go ivory, white can tend to look harsh or not as high quality unless you have the perfect skin tone for it. This dress is a mori lee in ivory and I was super tan but it may help give you a better idea of their shade of ivory (it looks like the same lace too!). It definitly reads off white doesn’t look yellow.

I’d go with ivory! It’s not a suppper huge difference but I think ivory is pretty flattering and complementary on tan/tanner skin tones.

Ivory. It just has a richness to it. Doesn’t look yellow. I think stark white can look cheap.  Here’s a photo of me trying on my DB dress in ivory and you can see the bride behind me in ‘white’ to see the difference. dress1

I’m more of an ivory fan vs. pure white, so I vote for ivory.  Here’s a pic of an ivory Mori Lee dress:

It’s really hard to say without seeing the dress on you, but going by your photo I think white would look lovely on you. Of course, I am a little biased as I think my skin tone is similar to yours (perhaps a hair darker) and I got a white dress and I think it looks awesome haha. I tried on a lot of ivory dresses, and while they were gorgeous, I started to feel they looked a bit “dirty” compared to the actual white dresses, and once that got stuck in my head it had to be white for me. Ultimately though I don’t think the difference between shades is minimal, so either one is going to look beautiful on you.

You will really have to try it on and see the difference with your skin tone.

I tried on a lot of different colors of dresses – white, off-white, ivory, champagne, what could have been silver. I actually loved some of the champgane colored dresses.

My dress was ivory cos it looked better with my skin tone, but it looked white. The dresses that were pure white were almost too much for me.
