It sounds like you really want the rose gold, and if that’s what you really want, I would go for it.

go with what you will be happy with long term for sure. a three week wait is nothing, you have to wear this thing forever!

I have a rose gold band that I wear and love but people always ask me if it is copper for some reason, I think it is becuase it looks kind of coppery next to my skin tone, make sure rose gold is really what you want and then go for it

Personally, I prefer white gold for that setting. I love rose gold for more intricate/vintage style settings, but I’m not a fan of it when it comes to a classic solitaire. It just looks more “at home” to me with the vintage look. That being said, go with whatever you love! Like PP said, a 3 week wait is nothing for a forever piece.

I’d stick with the WG.  Which shape did you decide on?

It sounds like you really want the rose gold, so I would go for it. 3 weeks is no time compared to how long you will be wearing the ring.

Go with what you like. Three weeks is NOT long. But be sure you REALLY like rose gold (and the karat rose gold as 14k looks quite different than 18k!).

What I like is not relevant (but just as you asked, I prefer rose or yellow over white, and 18k versions in both over 14k, but that is just on ME personally!)

With the pear shape, the rose gold will be beautiful! I voted rose gold!

another thing you could do is order the stone you want from blue nile and have a local jeweler make your ring for you. I did a custom solitaire setting with a yellow gold band and white gold basket and he did the whole thing the way I wanted it for less than $300 in about 3 weeks, and I didn’t have to pay unless I was happy with it. Then you could change your mind if he made a mock-up or showed you what it would look like, and you didn’t like it, and could just order the white gold one instead.

I think the rose gold will really make the stone pop against your skin. If you are questioning it, I think that means you secretly want to go for it. 🙂 I think it would be BEAUTIFUL in rose gold!
